THE BEST FRIEND
SYNOPSIS
Inga and Terttu are two completely different ladies in their sixties. Terttu is Finnish speaking, out-spoken and wild. She likes to drink and her best friend is her dog Pentu. Inga is Swedish speaking and carefully organized, silent and she bears a dark secret. These two women would never have met if it wasn't for a store robbery they manage to get in-volved in and after this, both their lives change forever. Both of the live quite lonely lives in Helsin-ki. They are just old people roaming the streets, going back and forth from the store or pub and their homes. Nobody sees them until they manage to get involved in a store robbery. 'The best friend' is a movie set in modern day Finland where both alcoholism and loneliness are major concerns for aging seniors. Despite all this 'The best friend' will take you on an adventure that will show that it is never too late to follow your dream no matter how scary that dream might be.
